Hand-coloured etching backed on linen. Inscription Content: Lettered on swan's neck with title and publisher's name and address, with numbers in each compartment, and at the bottom with publication details, "London: Published by William Darton; 58, Holborn Hill".

Object history note: The name is placed along the neck of the swan and around its base is a `gold crown and chain'; it bears the publisher's name which is also across the bottom of the game.

Rules: One of the illustrations is a bag of wool marked WOOL R S 1821 WOOL. The design of the swan is set against water and a bank of bull rushes. There is no booklet which would have contained both the rulesand the explanation. Pasted to the outside is a label which reads: The Most Approved Modern Maps, Plans, and Charts, of every Description From the Best Authorities Constantly on sale at WILLIAM DARTON'S Map, Print and Chart Warehouse, 58 Holborn Hill, London. They may be had in sheets, cases for the pocket or on canvass with rollers.
Books of Roads and Fairs and works highly necessary for the Traveller and Man of Business.
