REFERENZA 1
(LOVE Brian, pag. 66): " A voyage through the clouds, published by J.W.Spear during the 1910-11 season, traces an imaginary airship journey on a track of 70 spaces across 7 countries against 13 hazards. The game was no doubt inspired by the early commercial Zeppelin flights made by the five airships of the Deutsche Luftschiffahrtsaktiengesell-schaft, which operated pleasure cruises between several of the major German cities from 1910 to 1914. These flights attracted a great deal of popular attention, an excitement reflected in the magazines and novels of the time. An American journalist, recalling her first flight in a Zeppelin, wrote: "As I entered...I lifted my eyes to the taunting monster. Never had I seen anything so overwhelming al close range."
1) The object of the game is to be the first player to land safely at N°70.
2) This is a game for 2 to 4 players. Each player takes a coloured counter to represent an Airship and places it outside the shed.
3) Players throw a die to decide who shall start. Then the trip begins. The Airships advance according to the number thrown with the die and are placed on the number indicated by the number of points obtained by the cast.
4) All the other rules marked on the play-board are to be observed, except for those mentioning the payment of counters.
5) The player whose airship is first to arrive at the Landing Place N°75 or beyond is the winner of the game. And now all aboard and bon voyage!"
