The game offers a lesson in Ranks and Dignities of the British Peerage, Clergy and Military; it was published in 1822. The rules book includes a dedication to the future Queen Victoria. This game is beautiful hand-coloured engraved, mounted in nine sections on linen, showing an Ostrich, with twenty egg-shaped portraits of dignitaries, clergy and men of military importance. The game was printed by William Darton - Map Seller - 58 Holburn Hill London, and he made the dedication to the future Queen Victoria. There are only two copies listed in museums.

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME: The purpose of this game was to offer lessons about the hierarchy of the British peerage, the clergy, and the military. It was likely published to commemorate the recent coronation of George IV, depicted in the winning square at the center (20).
