REFERENZA 1
( Whitehause, pag. 39-40): GAME OF GENIUS, or Compendium of Inventions connected with the Arts, Sciences and Manufactures. Accompanied by a Descriptive Book, and designed for the Amusement and Instruction of Youth of both Sexes. Published by E. Wallis, 42 Skinner Street, Snow Hill, London. A coloured lithograph-though in the author's copy details appear to have been coloured by hand in some places-mounted in 9 sections on linen, contained in slip-in case, title in gilt on front. The 37 panels each depict an invention, etc., and as a production this game ranks far above the last described. (pag. 39, 40)

REFERENZA 2
The New Game of Genius is a difficult one: Players must not only memorize information in the instruction booklet, but also depend on luck. The booklet lists a variety of inventions, including the microscope, gunpowder, and orreries, to be memorized and recited. But land on unlucky N°37, and “whoever arrives here loses his chance of the game, and may spend his time in lamenting the waste of human life occasioned by the composition.”
